Professor Sokratis Katsikas, NTNU CCIS
Norway is one of the leading digital nations in the world and has set its strategies for further digitalization in industry and government. Cybersecurity is a pillar of the digital transformation process and an enabler for digital innovation. Long term quality research and enhancement of competence contribute decisively to enhancing the ability of Norwegian businesses to digitalize securely and to support the provision of trustworthy critical societal functions. NTNU CCIS, together with its partners, have joined forces and expertise to create a center to support innovation through research on the cybersecurity of critical sectors (Energy, Healthcare, Finance, Manufacturing, Seaports and terminals, Safe districts). This lecture outlines the challenges that the center will address.
Sokratis is leading the Critical Infrastructure Security and Resilience (CISaR) group at NTNU CCIS, that leads or participates in a large number of internationally and nationally funded research projects on cyber security.
